50 Men In Games

That's what they should have called this article. I can think of at least ten women who deserve to be on that list, and I'm not even super-knowledgeable about the console-games world. I mean, Super Monkey Ball was a great game, but hardly the staggering cultural achievement that should be bouncing some of the most talented designers out there .....

heh. while i hadn't heard of many of those 50 (and slogging through them was tedious indeed), even after having read the article, i'm quite underwhelmed. i'd count four or five of the fifty as actual stars.

however, i still feel uneducated. who would you suggest should have been on that list?

Well, leaving aside the old-school superstars (Roberta Williams, Jane Jenkins), there's people like Sheri Graner Ray, Anne Westfall, Nicky Robinson, and Jane Pinckard, who are at least as interesting as most of the people on that list. Though I suppose it's a compliment rather than an insult to be left off a list that puerile ....
