Revenge of the Bad Movie

I finally saw Episode III and, unfortunately, hated it. As in, I thought it was worse than Episode II, and possibly even worse than Episode I. Seriously. The dialogue was unspeakable, the plot heavy-handed, and the characterization abominable. And, oh, god, Padme makes me ashamed to be a woman. Actually, I just don't want to be a woman anywhere near George Lucas. He seems to have very old-fashioned ideas of what a woman is good for. There were a few good moments (maybe twenty minutes out of the movie), but it really wasn't worth my time to wait for them.

Not that this is news to anyone here, except rscott who told me this movie wasn't an absolute disaster. Sorry, Rob, you were wrong. I could do better in my sleep. Damn your eyes, George. Damn your eyes.

I didn't think it was worse than its predecessors, but I did feel like I was fighting the whole way through to spin it in my head into what it could have been/I wanted it to be. And only intermittently succeeding.

Well, I kind of felt that way for all of them. "Wait! There's a good movie here, somewhere, if I can only find it . . . ."
