Whaddaya Know

Discovered today, while buying gifts on Amazon: Random Family made their Editor's Picks for the year (and every single one of you should go out and read it, now), while the D&D Player's Guide was one of their fifty most popular purchases. Gamer solidarity, huh?

This is partly because they have stupidly good discounts on the DnD books through Amazon. While Amazon can afford to throw around 30% discounts on these books *and* offer Super Saver Shipping, the corner gaming store has to sell them at cover price.

I approve of Amazon in some respects, but not when they are pulling away the livelihood of gaming stores.

Just another perspective. :)
