The last couple of weeks have been pretty stressful: moving, sure, but also a series of aborted plans which are no fun. (Getting all psyched up for something: good. Getting all psyched up and it not happening: bad.) I have a whole bunch of open projects, too, and it's always hard figuring out what I need to be working on - especially when I'm trying to land a new job.
On the bright side, my red couch arrived today. I've been wanting a red couch for maybe two years, and now I've got one. I spent about two hours this morning curled up on it and pretending to work, but mostly just admiring its utter coolness.
Heading off to a writer's retreat with Rachel after Shabbat, so I probably won't see all y'all until then. Have a good weekend and wish me luck getting things started on a novel that isn't intended to be done in a month!
